This refreshingly sweet wine combines the distinct tart-on-the-tongue taste of raspberry with a silky, subtle rhubarb finish. Rhuby Razz is a true fruit wine made with 100% crimson rhubarb cultivated in Washington State and blended with natural raspberry flavor. It pairs well with fruit pies, custard pies & tarts and soft cheeses (brie, camembert, and sheep’s milk).
We take great pride in fermenting our fruit wine long and slowly at low temperature, with as little fining as possible in order to amplify and preserve the natural flavors. We arrest fermentation in order to keep the natural fructose, and then add sucrose which aids in the fermentation process and maximizes the preservation of the natural sugars for an intense fruity flavor. The rich color of this wine is the result of cold soaking the whole fruit in enzymes which release the natural colors.
